To sell a new digital or physical gift card on your Shopify POS, you would first add the "New gift card" tile to your Shopify POS. Then tap the tile to start the activation process.

Now select the type of gift card you want to activate. A digital gift card is either emailed or sent to a recipient's phone number. A physical card requires a blank physical card you have on hand which you can order from us.

After selecting digital gift card as the card type, you'll be asked to select which card design to use for the digital gift card. You can create multiple card design on the dashboard of your gift card program.

Next enter the gift recipient's details. Only an email or a phone number are required. If an email address is provided, the digital gift card is sent to that email address. If a phone number is provided, the gift card will be delivered by SMS to the gift recipient's phone number.

To activate a physical gift card you'll need to first link a blank physical card. Select to either scan the QR code on the back of a blank gift card or enter the gift code of a blank card.

When scanning a QR code of a gift card, present the QR code to the camera of your POS device or scan it with your attached barcode scanner. If a blank card is found for the QR code, you'll be able to proceed to the next step.

If you opt to enter the gift card number manually, enter only the last 8 characters of the card number and tap "Find Card". If a matching gift card number is found, you'll be able to proceed to the next step.

Now select the amount to load onto the gift card. Choose from the 4 preset amounts or enter a custom amount. The preset amounts are configured in the Settings screen on the dashboard of your gift card program. The gift amount cannot exceed the maximum balance configured for your gift card program.

If you've configured Incentives for your gift card program, they'll be listed below. After entering an amount, any applicable incentives will be highlighted and the bonus amount will be loaded onto the gift card after it's activated.

The gift card overview screen shows all the details you provided for the digital gift card. You can make changes to any of the details. Add the digital gift card to the cart by tapping the "Add to cart" button. You can add additional gift cards to the cart or any other items. Finally complete the checkout of the cart and the gift cards in the cart will be activated and delivered to the gift recipient.
